Ukraine here we come

Hello everyone,
Sorry this has taken so long to get out. My excuses if you care are that we have been busy packing all of our stuff to move out of our apt and getting Christine's Mother moved into it. And if you didnt care you got to hear about it anyhow. Sooo life has been lots of fun lately. Sometimes I just wish we could skip this part and get on with the good stuff which would be us in Ukraine already. But as i read in the bible lately if you bear fruit you WILL be pruned! Not so sure I like the way that reads but no one bothered to ask me before they wrote it so it is one of those things we will have to deal with. So let the pruning end and fruit bearing begin!!!

There are not a lot of new things to report here except our plans and itinerary. We will be leaving the good ol USA for Ukraine on the 5th of April from Newark NJ.We will be returning on the 4th of July (God Bless America) Our good friend Debbie Stockavas has offered to drive us out there and then she will be visiting family in the Philly area after she drops us off. This has is a huge blessing to us not to mention a savings of at least 100 dollars up to 300. I thank God for the way He works these things out.

For those of you who dont know, this trip to Ukraine is focused more on "scouting out the Land" than specific ministry. Of course those things (ministry) will be included but our main focus is to find out details about setting up a youth discipleship ministry for the fall. The Lord has laid many other things on our hearts but for now He has asked us to keep them mostly to ourselves until we return to Ohio in the summertime. We believe that when we return He will have answered our many questions and given us more insight as to what He is asking from us. Just suffice it to say that what He is laying on our hearts is so much bigger than us that it is hard to comprehend how He wants to do it all. We do know that He for sure is faithful and our job is to be faithful also but we always have the harder time doing that. Of course most of you dont have those problems:-) as most of you are much "holier" than we are! Ok enough with all of that.

We have had a good time of getting together with lots of our friends and reconnecting after being gone to Mexico. It has been good to be home but as I felt the Lord saying to me a few weeks ago "heres where the talking ends" We believe it is time to get on with what the Lord has for us. One of the things we will be doing in Ukraine is continuing on with Pre-marital ministry and our first candidates will be Kostya who is marrying Sasha. Kostya Sashchuk as many of you will remember was here with His family in the month of August 2005. We were suspicious then already that the trip here would be His last as a single man and yup about a month after He got home he proposed to his girlfriend Sasha. Obviously she said yes and they will be getting married on June the 10th with the most honourable Mark Scotton presiding. I dont know, do you preside over a wedding oh well whatever it sounded good at the time. Yes that is correct Mark Scotton will be making the ride over the pond to the motherland to marry them. We are expecting great things from the Lord concerning Mark. The last time He was there well let him tell you about it sometime. I will just say here he felt right at home and they Love him in Ukraine.

If anyone has a "need" for a 20 foot travel trailer or a 97 Blazer or 96 Ford Windstar minivan we have these vehicles for sale and would love to get rid of them between now and the fall of this year. You know how this ministry thing works make a $10,000 dollar donation and get a free car or travel trailer. Of course I am just kidding but hey it sounds good.

Well we Love all of you and will miss you. Please keep us in your prayers as we go. We will be here for the sunday of the small conference that we are having at our church. That conference was one of the deciding factors for us in making our decision when to leave. We are looking forward to what the Lord will do that weekend!

God Bless you all
David&Christine
