Jesus' blood never fails me (some ramblings to read until new update on our trip and future vision)
Jesus blood never fails me!!!!By Delirious on the Glo album. Singing songs of freedom, heaven is my home! (Lines from the song) Kostya Sashchuk first introduced this album to us in Ukraine when we were there for the 6 months in 2003.
The weather is an example of how the Lord works. Going thru trials etc was like the hot weather and how hard it was to put up with but somehow we get thru it and then get rewarded by this absolutely beautiful weather. If all we had was this beautiful weather we would get totally spoiled and never appreciate it again. We need to be reminded of what we have so we appreciate it in a totally new way again. His mercies are really new every morning not some old leftover stale stuff. The Lord really does know what He is doing even though we usually think we could do a much better job ourselves, if we were honest with ourselves.
most of the time at least when it comes to dealing with other people? Not really surprising when we often find it very difficult to be honest with ourselves. Why do we find it so hard to be honest with others and ourselves? What are we so afraid of? Is it the fact that we have always had this opinion of ourselves that is not for real or are we afraid that if other people saw us for who we are they would not like us anymore? It is such a stupid idea and fear because if we ALL were for real and honest we would all realize what sinners we really are in our darkest moments etc. We may look alright on the outside but really deep in our hearts there may be lots of things that need worked on even in the most pious looking among us. Often when secret sins are revealed we are shocked by who the person is that is committing them, we can’t believe that “someone like that would so such a thing” or we ask “what could have possessed them to do such a thing”? When actually we know in our heart of hearts that given the right circumstances or except for the grace of God we would be doing the same! Or maybe all it really is, is that we haven’t gotten caught like they did! It’s so easy to be so judgmental and self-righteous when dealing with others but have some kind of excuse when it comes to dealing with our own faults and shortcomings. What if we truly did “love others as we love ourselves” or even better “love one another as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it”? Wow how different things would really be. Sometimes it seems like things like this are not attainable with our fallen selves. If we put as much effort into loving one another as we do in condemning each other and finding fault with one another I think things in The Church would look totally different. “They will know us by the Love that we have for each other” what happened to that idea and do we really think we are living that and modeling it for the rest of the “World” to see?
Just some ramblings that were going thru my head sitting in our “oasis in the desert” (trailer) listening to the aforementioned song in Matamoras Mexico while we were there in the fall of 2005.
